Beginners' French Course for Adults

Class Size: Small groups of  4 people

Course Duration: 18 Hours over 12 sessions.

This course is based on the Common European Framework for Languages (CECR in french) which defines the language teaching curricula worldwide and is used by the Alliance Française.

​

Together, we shall explore simple grammar and phonetics to get you going with basic communication, useful in day to day interaction.

​

By the end of this course, you will learn:

- To greet in formal and informal ways.  

- To introduce yourself and give information about your nationality, age, profession etc

- To inquire about someone

- Some basic french pronunciation with nasal sounds and the "r" sound.

- Some brief exchanges and simple requests at the bakery, shops etc

​

As part of the course, we will also go to a café, for you to practice, in context, what you've learnt.  

This will boost your confidence when speaking french!
