My Story
I was born and raised in Mauritius. I started my career as an Economist in the public sector, while lecturing Finance alongside at the University of Mauritius. After a couple of years, I moved to Hong Kong, where my husband is originally from. Little did I know at the time, that teaching french would ultimately turn into a life-long passion.
I completed a professional teaching Diploma in French (DAEFLE) in Hong Kong and taught French as a Foreign Language (FLE) & Business French at the Alliance Française. I also trained both adults and teenagers for the DELF and DALF exams, which are the only Foreign Language certifications issued by the French Ministry of Education and recognised worldwide.
At a later stage, I embarked on a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGdE) with the Monash University, which allowed me to move on to International schools in Hong Kong. I’ve had experience teaching french from Grades 7 to 12 and I am familiar with the IGCSE, MYP and IB-DP curriculum.
After a very fulfilling 11 years living and working in Hong Kong, my family and I have relocated to Mauritius. I am now happy to offer comprehensive french courses at my place in Flic en Flac or at your preferred location in the Black River area.
Having worked extensively with a diverse public of all ages and nationalities, I am aware that we all have disctinct learning styles. I am hence committed to provide tailor- made courses individually or in small groups to better respond to your specific needs.
I therefore invite you all to join me on this exciting new journey of “French Chez Moi”. It would indeed be a privilege to share my passion for the french language.
